The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs warned Tuesday that Gaza remains unsafe for civilians despite a ceasefire agreement reached in October that ended two years of war between Israel and Hamas, UN News reported. The humanitarian agency cited continued Israeli attacks on homes, schools, and canvas classrooms as evidence that security conditions have not substantially improved since the truce took effect.

The warning underscores persistent risks facing the civilian population even as major combat operations have ceased. OCHA's assessment suggests that despite the formal end to large-scale hostilities, attacks on civilian infrastructure continue to pose dangers to residents across the Gaza Strip.
