How these figures are compiled

The Gaza toll is the Ministry of Health's cumulative count, read from its daily reports as republished by Palestine Datasets and refetched on every build cycle. West Bank casualties and settler attacks are UN OCHA's record; prisoner counts are Addameer's published figures, maintained by the newsroom because no live feed exists. A “+” marks a figure its source reports as “more than”, the “?” markers explain terms that carry legal weight, and the page re-checks the numbers about every five minutes. The full ledger is downloadable at the end of this section, with every figure attributed to its primary source.
