The Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in Jerusalem condemned a masked settler attack on the Palestinian village of Taybeh on Saturday, 17 October, the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem reported. The statement did not specify the nature of the attack or casualties but called for accountability and protection of communities affected by such violence.
The church leaders demanded that authorities investigate the incident and take measures to prevent future attacks on Palestinian communities. Religious leaders have increasingly spoken out against violence targeting Palestinian civilian areas.
