Five pro-Palestine activists in Britain have won a legal victory after a court refused to apply terrorism provisions to their case, Shehab Wire reported. The five face charges related to damaging a Barclays bank branch in a protest action targeting the financial institution.
The activists had carried out the action to oppose Barclays' previous financial relationships. The court's decision means that when sentencing is handed down, terrorism statutes will not be invoked in the proceedings against them.
