The European Union rejected statements by Israeli occupation ministers regarding the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, Shehab Wire reported. EU Commission spokesperson Christian Wigand said Friday that the bloc firmly opposes forced displacement of Palestinians or any attempt to alter demographic or territorial conditions in the Strip.
Wigand's statement underscored the EU's position that such displacement proposals are unacceptable. The rejection came in response to recent remarks by Israeli ministers discussing the potential relocation of Palestinians from Gaza.
