Basem Nayem, a member of Hamas's political bureau and head of the movement's Arab and Islamic relations office, said Israeli military assassinations in Gaza today—particularly the killing of a city police governor—constitute a "fiery message" to ceasefire guarantors, Shehab Wire reported. Nayem made the statement after a series of strikes targeting security officials across the enclave.
The Hamas official characterized the operations as a deliberate signal aimed at countries and parties backing the ceasefire agreement framework. His remarks suggested the killings were intended to communicate a message of defiance or warning to international actors involved in negotiating or guaranteeing the truce between Hamas and Israeli forces.
