Israeli occupation authorities on Thursday returned the body of 17-year-old Salim Sami Salim Fuqaha' to his family after withholding it for months, IMEMC News reported. The teenager was killed by Israeli forces in March, and his remains had been held in custody until the handover.
The return of the body was processed through the Palestinian General Authority of Civil Affairs. The extended detention of Fuqaha's remains follows a pattern in which Israeli authorities have withheld the bodies of Palestinians killed in military operations, a practice documented by human rights organizations investigating treatment of the dead and grieving families.
