Researcher says settlers target Palestinian income through land seizures

Settlement expert Mahmoud al-Sayfi told Shehab Wire that escalating land confiscations and ongoing settler attacks in the occupied West Bank are part of a coordinated campaign to impoverish Palestinians and impose annexation. Al-Sayfi, who specializes in settlement affairs, said the wave of violence and property seizures coincides with systematic measures designed to cut off Palestinian income sources across the territory.
The researcher characterized the pattern as deliberate policy rather than random incidents, linking settler aggression directly to efforts aimed at weakening Palestinian economic capacity. According to al-Sayfi, the combination of land confiscation and attacks on Palestinians' means of earning a livelihood forms part of a larger strategy to force territorial control and integration of West Bank areas.
