Settlers installed mobile homes on Palestinian land in the village of al-Nuzha al-Sharqiya north of Tulkarem on Thursday, Shehab Wire reported. The caravans were placed on territory belonging to the village in preparation for establishing a new settlement outpost in the area.
Wael Kettaneh, head of al-Nuzha al-Sharqiya village council, confirmed the development to the Wafa news agency. The installation represents the latest expansion effort by Israeli settlers in the northern West Bank region, where competing claims to land and resources have fueled ongoing tensions between Palestinian communities and Israeli settlement activities.
