Child dies trapped between concrete slabs in Gaza building collapse

A child trapped in the rubble of the collapsed "Al-Saada" building in Gaza's industrial area spoke to a civil defense worker in what would be his final moments, Shehab Wire reported. "I can hear you uncle, but I'm stuck between the two ceilings and can't move," the boy said through gaps in the concrete as rescuers attempted to reach him.
The building collapsed early this morning in the southwestern industrial zone of Gaza City. The child ultimately died from suffocation beneath the structure's concrete slabs.
