Haaretz reported that young settlers from West Bank settlements pitched a residential camp on Jewish National Fund land inside the jurisdiction of Majd al-Krum, an Arab town in the Galilee, drawing a weekend protest from dozens of residents and a police deployment. One resident told the paper: "They think they'll do here what they do in the West Bank. This won't pass in silence."
Ynet reported that the army is investigating whether a soldier "deviated from open-fire procedures" when he shot a Palestinian near Faqqua, east of Jenin, over the weekend. A security source said the man was hit "without apparent reason"; the army's own account says soldiers fired after Palestinians gathered around a settler-run farm's shepherd.
Maariv's breaking-news desk reported army units were en route to Wadi al-Balat, on the Ramallah–Nablus road, after Palestinian accounts said right-wing activists set fire to agricultural fields there Sunday afternoon — the latest in a settler-arson pattern this paper has tracked through the West Bank's olive groves and farmland since 2023.
