Hamas asserts that 33 years after the Oslo Accords' signing, the agreement has failed to secure freedom, independence, or security for Palestinians, according to Shehab Wire. Ali Baraka, head of Hamas's external national relations office, stated the accord neither ended occupation nor guaranteed refugees' right of return.
Baraka made the comments as the movement maintained its rejection of the 1993 agreement, which established the Palestinian Authority and set the framework for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations that have stalled for over a decade.
