Ireland will skip the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest in protest of Israeli participation and the continuing death toll in Gaza, The Guardian reported. The country's national broadcaster made the decision citing the "appalling" ongoing killing in the Palestinian territory.
This marks Ireland's second consecutive Eurovision boycott. The Dutch broadcaster has also refused to participate in the 2027 contest, joining Ireland in its protest against Israeli involvement in the annual song competition.
