Israeli municipal authorities issued a final demolition order for a residential building in Al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan, Jerusalem, the Wadi Hilweh Information Center reported. The order displaces four households from the occupied neighborhood. The center, known as Silwanic, documented the family evacuation ahead of the planned demolition.
The building sits in an area where Israeli authorities have previously carried out large-scale demolitions. Silwan residents have faced ongoing displacement pressures as municipal zoning designates much of the Palestinian neighborhood as "green space" or national park land, a classification Palestinians say enables systematic home removal.
