Israeli occupation forces arrested journalist Nadim Muhammad on Saturday while he was returning from a reporting assignment in the West Bank, Shehab Wire reported. Muhammad had been documenting an attack carried out by settlers on the town of Arraba, located south of Jenin, when he was taken into custody by the military.
The detention occurred as Muhammad completed his coverage of the incident. The arrest adds to a pattern of Israeli security forces detaining Palestinian journalists during their work covering events in occupied Palestinian territories. Muhammad's apprehension took place on the same day as the settler assault he had been assigned to cover.
