Israeli occupation forces returned the body of slain child Salim Sami Salim Faqaha from the town of Sinjil north of Ramallah to his family Thursday, the Shehab Wire reported. The child's remains had been withheld by Israeli authorities since his killing approximately five months earlier.
The transfer concluded a lengthy period during which Israeli forces detained the boy's body. Palestinian families have long contested the practice of withholding remains, viewing it as a form of collective punishment. Sinjil lies in the northern West Bank, roughly 20 kilometers north of Ramallah.
