Sheikh Abdel Jabbar Jarrar, a Jenin-based leader, was released Thursday following 30 months of administrative detention in Israeli prisons, Shehab Wire reported. The 60-year-old prisoner departed Negev Desert Prison after spending more than two years in custody.
Jarrar's physical condition had deteriorated significantly due to the circumstances of his imprisonment. His release marks the end of an extended period held without formal charges under Israel's administrative detention system.
