An-Najah National University has established the first veterinary medicine faculty in Palestine, according to Maan Wire. The program marks the inaugural offering of formal veterinary education in the Palestinian territories and addresses a longstanding absence of specialized professional training in the field.
The new faculty is designed to train veterinarians for roles in livestock management, animal health services, food safety oversight, and public health work. An-Najah, headquartered in Nablus, structured the program to meet international standards for veterinary education. The initiative responds to persistent demand across Palestinian communities for qualified practitioners capable of managing animal diseases, supporting agricultural production, and protecting food supply chains.
