Settlers launched an expansion of a settlement outpost on Tuesday evening situated on land belonging to the village of Al-Munya, southeast of Bethlehem, the Shehab Wire reported. The outpost, which occupies Palestinian agricultural territory in the area, became the focus of construction and development work during nighttime hours.
The expansion marks a continuation of settlement activity in the region surrounding Bethlehem. Israeli settlement outposts, which operate without official Israeli government authorization, have proliferated across the occupied West Bank in recent years, frequently triggering tensions with Palestinian landowners whose property lies beneath or adjacent to the structures.
