A six-story residential building collapsed Wednesday morning in the Sanaiya Street area west of Gaza City, Shehab Wire reported. Eight people were killed and thirteen wounded in the collapse, which struck the structure as displaced residents sheltered inside. Rubble from the building also damaged adjacent tents housing displaced Palestinians.
Dozens of people remain unaccounted for beneath the wreckage, according to initial reports from the scene.
