Tens of thousands of Palestinians performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, Shehab Wire reported, despite Israeli occupation forces surrounding the Old City and the mosque. Israeli forces prevented dozens of worshippers from reaching the site ahead of what is referred to as "Yom Kippur."
The prayers took place under conditions of restricted access imposed by Israeli military deployments in the area surrounding the holy site.
