Blink Wallet has begun charging a $1 monthly fee on custodial accounts that remain inactive for 12 months, according to Bitcoin Magazine. The first charges were processed by mid-October 2026.
The fee structure is intended to encourage users to migrate toward self-custody arrangements, where they hold their own private keys rather than relying on the wallet provider to manage their funds.
