Former Palestinian Authority minister Sufian Abu Zaida claims he relayed a warning from then-Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar to Israeli intelligence officials weeks before the 7 October attack, Middle East Eye reported. Abu Zaida served as the intermediary in passing the alert to Israeli officials, according to his account.
The disclosure raises questions about what Israeli intelligence knew and when, ahead of the assault that killed hundreds of Israelis and triggered the subsequent war in Gaza.
