Approximately 70 percent of buses in Gaza have stopped operating due to severe shortages of vehicles, spare parts, oil, and tires, according to Anwar Abu Albah, head of the bus operators' union in the territory. Abu Albah attributed the crisis to Israeli occupation restrictions that prevent the entry of these supplies into Gaza.
The transportation disruption affects civilian mobility across the densely populated enclave, where public buses serve as a primary means of transport for most residents.
