A captain in Gaza's Civil Defence unit is attempting to locate his family after more than a year of separation caused by the war, Al Jazeera English reported. The ceasefire has created an opportunity for displaced Palestinians to search for relatives lost during the conflict.
The officer's efforts highlight the widespread family separations that have resulted from the fighting in Gaza, where displacement and displacement records have left thousands unable to locate loved ones. Many Palestinians remain displaced or unaccounted for despite the pause in hostilities.
