Civil defense teams in Gaza recovered 55 bodies and remains from a residential building belonging to the Malka family in the Zeitoun area, Shehab Wire reported. The structure had been serving as a shelter for approximately 60 displaced residents who had fled there seeking protection from Israeli bombardment before it collapsed.
The recovery operation underscored the scale of casualties from the building's destruction during the ongoing conflict. Civil defense personnel worked to extract victims from the rubble following the structure's collapse, adding to the mounting toll of dead across Gaza.
