The head of Gaza's Missing Persons Committee warned of imminent humanitarian catastrophe as winter arrives, citing the risk of building collapses on thousands of displaced residents sheltering in dilapidated structures, Shehab Wire reported. Omar Nofal said displacement caused by the conflict and international neglect have forced Palestinians into structurally unsafe buildings.
The committee cautioned that deteriorating shelters pose mounting dangers as cold weather sets in across the territory.
