Large crowds gathered Thursday in Gaza City to hold a funeral for 50 Palestinian dead recovered from beneath the ruins of homes destroyed during Israeli operations, the Shehab Wire reported. Civil defense crews worked to extract the bodies from the wreckage of residential structures across the territory.
Among those mourned were 20 children whose remains had been trapped under the debris. The funeral procession moved through Al-Shifa Medical Complex, where families and community members paid their respects to the recovered dead. The recovery and burial marked the latest toll from ongoing destruction in the Gaza Strip.
