Israel has demolished another residential neighbourhood in East Jerusalem, displacing hundreds of residents including Fakhri Abu Diab and his family from the al-Bustan area, Middle East Eye reported. The demolition coincided with the UK's withdrawal of its diplomatic presence from the region.
The neighbourhood's demolition occurred as Britain closed its diplomatic mission, removing an international observer presence during a period of accelerated Israeli settlement activity in the occupied territory.
