Israeli occupation authorities released Palestinian journalist Hazem Nasser on Tuesday after 27 months in administrative detention without formal charges, the Shehab Wire reported. Nasser, from the Shawaka suburb north of Tulkarem, was held by military order throughout his imprisonment.
Administrative detention allows Israeli authorities to jail detainees indefinitely without trial or charges, a practice applied regularly to Palestinians deemed security threats.
