Israeli military bulldozers demolished three houses belonging to the Alqam family in the Al-Ashqariyya neighborhood of Beit Hanina in occupied East Jerusalem, the Ma'an news agency reported. The operation also uprooted trees and vegetation surrounding the residences, causing extensive damage across the site.
The demolitions are part of a broader pattern of home destruction in Palestinian areas of East Jerusalem. Beit Hanina, located north of the city's Old City, has experienced repeated Israeli demolition operations targeting Palestinian residential structures. The Al-Ashqariyya neighborhood has been subject to ongoing construction restrictions imposed by Israeli authorities that limit Palestinian building permits and development.
