Ma'an news agency reported that Israeli military vehicles stationed north of Rafah opened fire on the Bir 19 area south of Khan Younis, killing a woman. An Israeli airstrike on the al-Nasr neighborhood of Gaza City killed a man in a separate incident.
The deaths occurred as Israeli forces maintained a presence across southern Gaza following weeks of military operations in the strip.
