Settlers cut power to a Palestinian home in the al-Armeh area of Beita, south of Nablus, on Sunday evening, then attacked the residence of citizen Mutie Salim al-Aqtash in the al-Harayeq area, causing damage, Shehab Wire reported. The assault marked an escalation of settler violence in the northern West Bank town.
Israeli occupation forces subsequently arrested the Palestinian homeowner while leaving the attacking settlers free, according to the report. The incident reflects a pattern of differential enforcement by Israeli military authorities in Palestinian areas where settlers operate.
