Israeli forces arrested a cancer patient and her daughter upon their return from Egypt, according to Maan Wire. The two were among Palestinians crossing back into Gaza through the Rafah border. Details of the arrest location and circumstances remain unclear.
The detention came as relatives welcomed returnees from Egypt, where some Palestinians had sought medical treatment unavailable in Gaza. The arrest undercut relief felt by families reuniting with loved ones after time abroad.
