The Israeli military raised its state of readiness before upcoming elections, according to Maan Wire. The chief of staff announced a ban on military leave starting Thursday and ordered the deployment of paratroop units and other forces to the West Bank.
The deployment precedes the electoral process and reflects heightened security measures by the occupation military during the period leading up to the vote.
