American rapper Macklemore opened his "Free Palestine" tour before a sold-out crowd in Dublin, Al Jazeera English reported. The tour marks Macklemore's latest effort to use his platform for political messaging around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The hip-hop artist has previously released music addressing Palestinian issues and international conflicts. The Dublin performance marks the first stop of what the rapper has positioned as a sustained touring initiative centered on the cause.
