Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned of a second Holocaust if he loses the upcoming elections, Middle East Eye reported. He accompanied the warning on social media with an AI-generated image of a nuclear explosion.
The statement represents Netanyahu's starkest rhetoric yet as he campaigns ahead of the vote. The comparison invokes the systematic genocide of six million Jews during World War II to frame the electoral stakes in existential terms.
