Palestinian political parties including Fatah and Hamas have agreed to postpone elections, marking what observers describe as the easiest consensus among Palestinian factions in years, Shehab Wire reported. The agreement represents rare common ground among rival groups, though notably centered on delaying rather than advancing democratic processes.
The decision comes against the backdrop of escalating conflict and instability that has made holding elections logistically and politically unfeasible for Palestinian leadership.
