Riad al-Ashqar, director of the Palestine Prisoners' Studies Center, said killings of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention facilities cannot be treated as isolated incidents but rather as organized crimes with official cover from the highest security and political levels, Shehab Wire reported.
Al-Ashqar characterized the deaths as part of a deliberate, methodical policy carried out with official incitement from senior authorities. He rejected the framing of individual cases as unconnected events, instead linking them to a coordinated system of abuse within the occupation's prison system. According to al-Ashqar's assessment, such killings reflect an institutional practice rather than occasional misconduct by individual guards or officials.
