Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in the Palestinian Territory Occupied since 1967, met on Tuesday with members of the Palestine Children's Council – Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights reported. The council, established by PCHR in 2021, brought together children including those with amputated limbs to discuss conditions in the territory.
The meeting marked a documented encounter between UN human rights oversight and Palestinian child representatives documenting their experiences in Gaza.
