The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has called for an immediate halt to Israel's military operation in Hebron, citing grave concerns over the consequences for Palestinian civilians. Volker Türk said the operation, which began Friday, has forcibly displaced more than 2,000 Palestinians and involved the demolition of homes, Palestine News Network reported.
The statement came as the Israeli action in the West Bank city continued, with displacement and property destruction mounting since the operation commenced Friday.
