An independent inquiry into British complicity in Israel's military operations in Gaza convened nearly a year ago under the leadership of former Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn, scholar Neve Gordon, and Palestinian activist Shahd Hammouri, Democracy Now! reported. The Gaza Tribunal operated as a nongovernmental tribunal to examine the United Kingdom's role in what organizers characterized as genocide against Palestinians.
The three co-chairs have continued to speak publicly about findings from the proceedings held in London. Their tribunal sought to document and assess British government actions and policies related to the conflict.
