More than 350,000 people in Gaza require medicines they cannot access, according to Mohammad Abu Afash, head of the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, Middle East Eye reported. Afash told Al Jazeera that supplies in the territory have become critically depleted, leaving a significant portion of the population without essential treatments.
The shortage has mounted as Gaza's medical infrastructure continues to face severe strain from ongoing conditions in the enclave. Patients across the territory are unable to obtain medications for chronic and acute illnesses, forcing families to seek alternatives or forgo treatment entirely. The Palestinian Medical Relief Society's warning reflects deepening concerns about healthcare access for civilians across Gaza.
