Gaza's Health Ministry director general Dr. Munir al-Barsh said the death toll in the enclave has reached approximately 73,000, with around 174,000 wounded, Shehab Wire reported. Among the injured are more than 21,000 children and 11,000 women. The ministry also documented roughly 59,000 orphans created by the conflict.
Al-Barsh characterized the retrieval of bodies as a critical priority for Gaza's reconstruction phase. The statement underscores the scale of casualties across the territory and the humanitarian challenges facing recovery efforts in the coming period.
