The German-built submarine Ahi Drakon departed the German city of Kiel on Tuesday bound for occupied Palestinian territory, becoming the sixth submarine in the Israeli navy's fleet, Shehab Wire reported. The vessel's arrival marks a continuation of military cooperation between Germany and Israel.

The Ahi Drakon is manufactured in Germany as part of an ongoing defense partnership. The submarine joins five existing vessels already in service with Israel's navy, expanding the country's subsurface combat capabilities. Germany has maintained defense contracts with Israel for decades, supplying military hardware to the Israeli armed forces across multiple platforms and weapons systems.
