Israeli military aircraft conducted airstrikes on Nabatiyeh province in southern Lebanon on Sunday, with one strike directly striking a correspondent and cameraman for the Al-Manar television channel, Shehab Wire reported. The two journalists were wounded in the attack, which targeted the region hours after earlier bombardment had already inflicted casualties.
The earlier strikes killed seven people and injured twenty others in the same area. The successive waves of airstrikes underscore the intensity of cross-border military operations in Lebanon's south, where tensions between Israeli forces and armed groups have escalated sharply in recent months.
