Israeli occupation forces demolished homes in the Al-Saidi settlement near the town of Zaʿim east of Jerusalem on Monday morning, leaving children to search through rubble for their school materials and belongings after classes ended, according to the Ma'an news agency. Residents returned to the remains of their houses to retrieve books, notebooks, and personal possessions scattered among the debris.
The demolitions were carried out by occupation machinery, the Jerusalem Governorate Media Office reported.
