The Israeli military evacuated homes belonging to prisoners Ibrahim and Zakaria Daoud in the West Bank town of Beita, south of Nablus, ahead of their demolition, the Ma'an news agency reported. The evacuation marks a preliminary step in what authorities described as preparation for destroying the residences.
The two men are currently held in Israeli detention. Demolitions of Palestinian homes, particularly those of prisoners or individuals accused of security offenses, have long been a contentious practice in the occupied territories.
