Gadi Eisenkot, head of the opposition Yisrael Beiteinu party, accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government of sponsoring what he called "Jewish terrorism" in the occupied West Bank, Shehab Wire reported. The accusation followed an attack by masked settlers on a European diplomatic delegation near a West Bank town.
Eisenkot's statement reflects deepening tensions within Israeli politics over settler violence and government accountability for security in Palestinian territories.
