The US ambassador to Israel called for prosecution of those responsible for attacking American photojournalist Heidi Levine, according to Al Jazeera English. Trump-appointed Ambassador Mike Huckabee described the assault as a "despicable act of terror" and urged Israeli authorities to hold the attackers accountable.
Levine, who has documented conflicts across the Middle East, was targeted in an incident that prompted diplomatic pressure on Israel's government to take legal action against those involved.
